Akkeshi Kiritappu Konbumori Quasi-National Park

Akkeshi-cho and Hamanaka-cho in eastern Kushiro-shi. The powerful charm of this area are the oysters of Lake Akkeshi, the nature of the Kiritappu Wetland, the tip of Cape Kiritappu, and a trip around the uninhabited islands. Kenbokki Island is famous as an animal paradise created by Mr. Mutsugoro. Daikuro island is a breeding ground to harbor seals and northern storm petrels. A rare park where you can view red-crowned cranes, Steller's sea eagles, white-tailed eagles, tufted puffins, alpine plants, shore-plants, and marshland plants. The summertime has much fog, but it is fine in winter.
