The Churui Museum of Naumann’s Elephant

It was built to commemorate the discovery of the fossil of the Naumann's elephant in Chūrui .

A lot of researchers from all over the country participated in the excavation investigation thereafter and digged out a total of 47 fossils corresponding to 70 to 80% of the entire skeleton.
