Mt. Usu

"A double active volcano on the southern coast of Lake Toya.

It has erupted four times in the 20th century alone, and you can go see the crater made in 1977 by ropeway.

It was chosen along with Showa Shinzan to be included in the 100 Selected Geological Features of Japan, and the surrounding area is designated as a World Geopark and Japanese Geopark as Lake Toya Mount Usu Geopark."
